I grew up in a family of eight, and from a young age I knew that hard work was the only way I’d make it to college. I poured myself into academics and athletics, earning a scholarship that opened the door to higher education. I graduated with a degree in Accounting from Ole Miss, then followed the traditional path everyone says to take—study hard, get a degree, and build a career.
Life, however, had other plans. After college I became an officer in the U.S. Army, serving first as a recruiter and later at Fort Jackson. Just a few years into my service, I made the choice to end my active duty career after getting married. That decision led me into the most fulfilling role of my life—becoming a stay-at-home mom.
For decades, I poured myself into my family, raising two incredible kids while supporting my husband’s long work hours. But even in the joy of motherhood, I knew I had passions and dreams beyond the home. When I tried to re-enter the workforce after 15+ years, I was turned away again and again because of my “mom gap.” That rejection was painful, but it also became my wake-up call: my path forward wasn’t backwards—it was a fresh start.
Now, in my 50s, I’m building a new legacy. I’ve stepped into entrepreneurship, created digital products, built communities, and discovered that midlife is not the end of our story—it’s the beginning of a powerful new chapter. I believe the skills we learn as moms—resilience, problem-solving, leadership, and creativity—are transferable and valuable. With faith, courage, and the right mindset shifts, we can flourish after 45.
My mission is to help Christian midlife moms like you rediscover your God-given passions, rebuild your confidence, and step boldly into the next season of life. Because following the traditional path can be good, but sometimes life takes detours. And those detours? They don’t mean your story is over—they just mean it’s time to pivot and make the most of the life God has given you.
Friend, life doesn’t end when the kids leave home. In many ways, it’s just beginning.
And through it all, I’ve learned one powerful truth: when you believe God’s timing is perfect, your waiting turns into worship. Instead of striving or feeling behind, you can rest knowing that His plans are never delayed.
As Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us,
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”
Your journey—every detour, pause, or pivot—has purpose. And if you’re in a season of waiting right now, take heart: the waiting isn’t wasted. God is preparing you for what’s next.
